Here is what he has to say:<\/p>\n<p>&#8221; Percy have been kicking around since 1996, peddling the kind of peculiar and noisy post-punk you don\u2019t hear too much of these days. Percy are loud, abrasive and crude but the work shows a deep level of intelligence when it comes to storytelling. \u2018Monorail\u2019 itself is a strange beast, feeling almost like a lost Magazine album in places, with songs like \u2018Midnight on Broadway\u2019 utilising the same oozing organ sounds along with some aesthetics they\u2019ve picked up from The Fall. This is quite varied in general, with the harder songs like \u2018ICU\u2019 rattling along at high clip, while the distorted \u2018I\u2019ve Been Down dips into the avant-garde. It appears somewhat aimless at first but it warrants repeated listens not unlike the time it takes to appreciate a PiL record.
